Price = what budget to expect (FAQ)

What do the sales prices indicated on the CAMUR website include?

All prices include equipment, furniture and a terrace as stated on our website.

You need to consider:

  1. the cost of the glamping unit itself
  2. transportation from the factory to the campsite / your plot
  3. installation (stabilization, connection, using a crane if necessary, etc.)
  4. the cost of leasing the plot of land on the campsite annually.

We advise you to ask for the price of an “all-inclusive package” at your point of sale, meaning delivered, installed, stabilized and connected on the campsite pitch you have chosen. That way you’ll know exactly what your total budget is and you can avoid any unpleasant surprises.

What are your transportation costs?

Transportation costs differ based on the quantity and the products themselves as well as the installation site.

Your glamping unit can only be transported in a special convoy. The cost of this can vary greatly depending on the distance between the factory and the campsite: 5 to 6 € per kilometre approximately depending on the type of special convoy plus a fixed rate for loading and unloading.

What are your installation costs?

Installing a mobile home on a campsite pitch consists of:

  • lifting the glamping unit with a truck crane
  • stabilizing it at a level of 10 to 12 concrete point foundations
  • installing a wastewater network under the mobile home
  • connecting the mobile home to the main sewer
  • connecting your mobile home to the site’s electric meter

The cost of installation will vary from €2,000 to €2,500 depending on the accessibility and layout of the land (trees, slope, soil type, etc.) and the landscaping (lawn, integrated irrigation, etc.)

Do you offer discounts on large orders?

Yes, we offer discounts based on your project.

Boutique glamping / campsite (FAQ)

What is the cost of renting a pitch at a boutique glamping / campsite?

This can range from approximately €4,000 to €6,000 (annually), depending on the size and features of each campsite (its services, rating, geographical location, etc.).

A pitch on a site located near the sea, with entertainment, a water park and a restaurant will be more expensive that an isolated lot without amenities. If you have not yet decided on a specific campsite, we can offer you our pitches in boutique glamping resorts (contact us).

A lease for a pitch signed with the owner of a campsite will generally be for 5-10 years with the possibility of extension. It will give you a breakdown of the amount of rent, the opening dates of the campsite and the specific charges and obligations on both parties.

Do I need insurance for my glamping unit?

Insuring a glamping unit is a personal decision, but you are highly recommended to insure your glamping unit. When you become the owner of the Camur glamping unit, you take full responsibility for any damage that would otherwise be covered by the insurance company.
Your insurance company can propose a home insurance policy. You should make sure the usual damages are covered : fire, weather damage, theft, electrical and water damages, window breakage, etc.
You can also contact us for insurance assistance.

What is the lifespan of a glamping unit?

A glamping unit has an estimated lifespan of 20 to 30 years. However, after 10 years, the natural wear and tear of the furniture, floors and curtains leave the glamping unit looking a bit worn out, and of course out of style.

Can my lease be terminated?

In the overwhelming majority of cases, residential contracts are renewed each year. Having accepted you, the owner has no reason not to maintain good relations with his or her residents.

Is it possible to live in a glamping unit all year round?

Materials and our construction methods are two basic factors that allow you to stay in CAMUR glamping units throughout the year. You will have access to your glamping unit all year round if it is installed on a campsite or residential holiday park that is open all year round. However, you cannot use your glamping unit as your principal residence.
